The City of Kyle has seen some great positive economic indicators in the past year. Even though most of the country has experienced downturns in jobs, sales tax and property valuations, Kyle has added jobs, seen steady increase in sales tax receipts and increased the tax base by almost 50% since 2006.
Sales tax has been up 14.83% for the last year, commercial development continued with the opening of over 20 new businesses and the addition of over 1,500 medical jobs in the past 18-24 months. Given the current economy, this is not only unusual but unheard of during a recession.
With a population increase of 427% over the past decade, Kyle continues to grow and see an increase in sales tax receipts while lessening the tax burden on the community and continuing to provide full service amenities for its citizens.
