Texans may be known for their sweet teeth, especially when it comes to pies, but sometimes folks need something to break up the sweetness. Folks in the "Pie Capital of Texas" will soon have a new destination for hot cups of joe courtesy of a San Antonio-based java brand.

Brevity Coffee Co. intends to add a $250,000 shop in the booming city of Kyle, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing. All TDLR filings are subject to change without notice.

Construction on the new ground-up drive-thru coffee kiosk is anticipated to start on June 2 and be completed by October 10, according to the TDLR. It will be Brevity's furthest store from the San Antonio area as the company looks to expand in the I-35 corridor.

The brand recently took over a former NobiliTea franchise in Boerne, within the H-E-B parking lot. The Texas Hill Country's crushed bean shop has the title of Brevity's first sit-down and drive-thru franchise. All the previous iterations only served coffee via drive-thru orders. The TDLR filing for Kyle shows it will be more like the San Antonio spots with plans for a 350-square-foot drive-thru kiosk.

Brevity Coffee Co. has seven drive-thru kiosks in San Antonio. The coffee shop sells coffees, Italian sodas, teas, frappes and more. One of the top coffees from 2024 was the Mudslide Mocha. MySA reached out to Brevity Coffee Co. for a comment about the expansion into Central Texas.
