Store expansions
In the fourth quarter of this year, H-E-B filed for two store expansions.
South of Austin, the H-E-B in Kyle at 5401 S. FM 1626 is in line for an expansion, Tamra Jones, public affairs manager, said in an email. The company is in the final phase of planning and design, Jones said in November, and is slated to begin construction early next year. The renovation will last more than a year but the store will remain open during the remodel.
Though H-E-B did not outline expansion details, a November filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shed some light. The expansion includes over 33,000 square feet and is estimated to cost $28 million, according to the filing. TDLRs are preliminary and subject to change.
