Restaurant group TC4 & Co. plans to open a Tony C's Pizza & Beer Garden in Kyle, joining a rush of eateries heading into the city south of Austin.
The New York-style pizza restaurant is planned in a 5,400-square-foot space that will also have an "expansive patio" at 2344 Kohlers Crossing, according to the company. Construction is expected to begin later this year or in early 2024, with a targeted opening next spring or summer.
Company owners declined to disclose the estimated construction costs.
The area is teeming with new restaurants and retailers, such as Evo Entertainment, Via313 Pizza, Willie’s Grill & Icehouse, Torchy’s Tacos, P. Terry’s Burger Stand, Costco Wholesale and more.
"As Austin locals born and raised in Lake Travis, we've seen the city explode. Historically, we've looked to the suburbs with the goal of bringing the downtown feel to tight-knit communities. In all of our spaces, we want to create a guest experience that is an escape,” TC4 co-founder Creed Ford IV wrote in an email.
This will be the fifth Tony C’s location in the metro, two of which are part of the concessions at Moody Center and Dell Diamond. In addition to Tony C’s, the hospitality group is also the parent company of The League Kitchen & Tavern, Tony C’s Coal Fired Pizza and Mighty Fine Burgers. The company already has a Mighty Fine location in Kyle.
While most of the company’s properties are leased, TC4 & Co. is beginning to purchase some of its sites, including this Tony C’s location and three Mighty Fine locations in Belterra, Hutto and Kyle.
